Davis Riley secured a decisive victory at the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge on Sunday, finishing at 14 under par, five strokes ahead of his closest competitors. This win marks Riley’s second PGA Tour title, but his first as an individual, following his previous triumph at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans last year.
Riley’s outstanding performance not only earned him the coveted title but also a substantial prize of $1.638 million, plus a fully restored and modernized 1975 Schwab Stingray. The runner-up positions were shared by Scottie Scheffler and Keegan Bradley, who both ended the tournament tied for second place and each received $809,900.
The 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge was Scheffler’s 11th Top 10 finish in as many events in the 2024 season. It was also his 6th Top 2.
The weekend was rocked by the passing of Grayson Murray. The 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge was the last tournament Murray played, as he withdrew with 2 holes to play in the second round.
The total purse for the Charles Schwab Challenge was $9.1 million, distributed among the players based on their final standings.
