Scottie Scheffler’s mugshot was the subject of a joke in a group chat with Xander Schauffele and other golfers
While Xander Schauffele took home his first major at the 2024 PGA Championship, one of the biggest stories that week at Valhalla Golf Club was Scottie Scheffler’s arrest.
He was arrested while making his way to the course on Friday morning but did make his tee time to begin the second round. By then, his mugshot hit the internet and went viral.
And now, Scottie Scheffler was the subject of some jokes in a group chat he’s in with along with Schauffele and other golfers.
During an appearance on Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take” podcast, Schauffele revealed that the boys heckled Scheffler in the chat. But they also changed the group photo to Scheffler’s mugshot:
“You gotta change the picture of that group chat to the mug shot,” said host PFT Commenter.
“Obviously that happened,” replied Schauffele smiling.

Now that a couple of days have passed, it’s all in good fun. And Scheffler being in that group chat makes it that much better. I’m sure he had his laugh about it too when the photo was changed. But now the focus is going back out there and playing really good golf in the remaining tournaments.
