Eventually, LIV Golf players like Brooks Koepka may have the opportunity to return to the PGA Tour. Many spurned the Tour in 2022 and subsequent years after it formed. The earlier those players signed on, like Koepka, the sooner they can theoretically come back if they want to. And according to one titan of the sport, Koepka does want to.
Fred Couples claims Brooks Koepka wants back on the PGA Tour

Whether or not it’s by way of an expiring LIV contract or something with the pending PIF merger, at some point, there will more than likely be players on the PGA Tour who once played on LIV Golf. That may well include Brooks Koepka according to golf legend Fred Couples.
Via Express, Couples said, “I talk to Brooks Koepka all the time. I love Brooks Koepka, and I’m not going to say anything extra except I talk to him all the time. He wants to come back. I will say that I believe he really wants to come back and play the Tour.”
Koepka was one of the first to defect, which means his contract would be one of the first to expire. LIV deals were more often than not for four years, which means Koepka can’t come back until after this season, and it remains to be seen how welcomed back he’d be.
PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan talks about reunification for the sport, but it’s not clear how he’d feel if the merger falls through. If it does, will LIV rebels still be given the chance to return if and when they want to? That much is unclear even now.
If the merger does go through, this all may be a moot point. If the two sides can come together, then they’d presumably be able to reunify like Monahan wants and have all the stars, which includes more than Koepka, on the same tour playing against one another.
The details of how that will come about are still to be determined, but that’s the stated goal of the Tour and it’s what many fans and golfers want to see. When and how it will happen aren’t known, but Koepka may soon get his reported wish.
Rumors are abounding that players like Bryson DeChambeau want to go back. Rumors persisted last year that Jon Rahm regretted his choice to go to LIV Golf. Those remain rumors, though Koepka’s reported interest comes from a physical source in Couples.
