If you’re a married golfer, there is a high likelihood you’ve seen Blaine’s content on Social Media. Blaine Toler is a content creator who is part of the “The Tolers” team along with his wife Courtney. Together they have more than 112,900 followers on Tik Tok, more than 128,000 on Instagram and more than 15,000 on Facebook. Their work ranges from creating and posting videos about life in marriage, always with the finest touch of humor and the occasional fart joke.

While his specific content doesn’t feature golf as the primary focus, it does occasionally find itself intertwined into what he posts. Despite playing with the Almost Average guys frequently, Blaine actually knows how to hit the fairway, unlike us.

Golf is also an important part of Blaine Toler’s life and work, as he trains diligently to improve his game and then transfers that into the content he shares with his followers. He considers the short game to be the key to success in golf and devotes most of his efforts to practicing this particular skill.

    Current Handicap: 12

Q: Before we talk golf, who is Blaine Toler? What do you do for work and fun outside of the golf course

Blaine Toler: “I am a full-time creator and social media influencer, and I’m known for my engaging content of marriage humor with my wife online. Beyond my professional pursuits, I am a dedicated father to three wonderful kids, Tripp, Abby, and Cash, and a loving husband to Courtney, my partner for 8 years. When I am not on the golf course, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, exploring new adventures, and capturing moments of joy and laughter to share with my wife and kids. Whether I’m creating captivating content or cherishing moments with loved ones, my passion for creativity and connection shines through in everything The Tolers do.”

Q: What inspired you to start playing golf, and how did your journey in the sport begin?

Blaine Toler: “I was inspired to start playing golf by my brother, who ignited my passion for the sport. Although I was a competitive athlete in high school, my involvement in sports dwindled after getting married and raising three children. However, seeing my brother compete in golf reignited my competitive spirit. I was drawn to the individual challenge and mental focus required in golf, leading me to pick up golf clubs for the first time ever in 2019. Thus, my journey in the sport began, driven by a desire to rediscover the thrill of competition and embark on a new athletic endeavor.”

Q: What is your most memorable moment in your golfing career so far?

Blaine Toler: “Winning the Golfweek two day major ” The Masters” championship at North Shore in 2022.

Q: What is your favorite golf course and what makes it special to you?

Blaine Toler: “MacGregor Downs (Cary, NC) holds a special place in my heart as my favorite golf course. Breaking my personal best two years consecutively there is a cherished accomplishment, making every round a memorable experience. The layout perfectly complements my playing style, enhancing my enjoyment and performance on the course.”

Q: Can you share a bit about your training routine and how you work on improving your game?

Blaine Toler: “My golf training routine is focused and consistent, with three sessions per week, each lasting an hour. A significant portion of this time, approximately 45 minutes, is dedicated to chipping and putting practice. I recognize the pivotal role of short game proficiency in lowering scores, so I prioritize honing these skills diligently. Specifically, I concentrate on shots from 135 yards and in, recognizing this range as critical for scoring success. By consistently practicing approaches, pitches, and chip shots from various lies and distances within this range, I aim to enhance precision and confidence around the greens.”

Q: Who would you consider to be the most influential person in your time golfing and how have they impacted your game?

Blaine Toler: “The most influential person in my golfing journey is undoubtedly my brother (Quinton Toler). As a fellow golfer competing at a high level, he has profoundly impacted my game. His dedication, work ethic, and competitive spirit have inspired me to push myself harder and strive for excellence. His guidance and support have not only improved my technical skills but also taught me valuable lessons about sportsmanship, integrity, and perseverance. Overall, my brother’s influence has been instrumental in shaping both my game and my character on the course.”
