Bryson DeChambeau, like many, has seen the rumors that he asked for $280 million but was denied by LIV Golf and is anxiously awaiting his return to the PGA Tour. The LIV Golf star didn’t mention them by name, but he called out those reports and took them apart ahead of LIV Golf Hong Kong.
Bryson DeChambeau rips LIV Golf exit rumors

Bryson DeChambeau, much like Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street, is not leaving. Despite rumors to the contrary, he remains committed to his current tour and has no plans to leave as soon as he’s able to get free.
DeChambeau said in a press conference, “No, I’m very excited about the future of LIV Golf. I’m very excited to be the captain of the Crushers and continue our legacy that we’re starting to create. That’s my goal is to create this lasting legacy where we impact millions and millions of golfers’ lives around the world. That should tell you everything you should know.”
The golfer also added that he’s excited for the future of this league. “I continue to see LIV Golf growing. It’s going to grow at an exponentiating pace for years to come, and we aren’t going anywhere,” he said. LIV has been as good for DeChambeau as he’s been for them.
He’s given them a true star to rally around, as he is arguably the most popular golfer right now regardless of tour. They’ve afforded him some luxuries that he’s taken advantage of and been able to grow his YouTube channel and reach more people with the game of golf.
He has long been one of the biggest supporters of LIV, so the idea that he’d jump ship was always a little questionable. Now, it looks like it’s downright false. If nothing else, DeChambeau can’t leave until 2026 when his LIV deal expires, but it doesn’t look like he wants to.
When he was on the PGA Tour, DeChambeau was not nearly this beloved. His quirks and personality were grating to some on that Tour, and he jumped at the chance to start fresh elsewhere. His career has somewhat taken off since, and he’s become that much more of a recognizable face, so he’s probably not itching to get back. At least, he says he isn’t.
